Sleep, wake up, school, work, hw, sleep. I mean basically, only cause I'm a busy bee. Although that routine may seem daunting and boring, it's not bad at all. Since I both work at and go to school at FIDM, my life literally revolves around it, but I'm not complaining. I mean look, I have freetime right now and I'm seriously blogging about it. Let me tell you about my day. I woke up at 8am and then got ready to go to the annex. After bouncing back and forth between the annex and the FIDM Cafe, I have been at the annex for a total of 5 hours. I spent most of it doing homework for my sketching class but I am so happy I got it done. Now, after my much needed lunch break, I am back in the annex writing this overdue blog. After I finish this, I have to start planning what I'm going to post on the FIDM Snapchat monday since I am taking over for the LA Campus and I'm going to be talking about the Campus News! Follow @fidmcollege on snapchat and watch me at 3pm Monday! Anyways, The FIDM Life is not like regular college life. We live in apartments in DTLA. We have real industry professionals as professors, only 5 classes one time a week... but I CAN'T IMAGINE IT ANY OTHER WAY. Some of my friends go to Universities and they have classes everyday of the week... I think that is absolute torture though. I would rather go to class one time a week for 3 hours then go to class 5 times a week for one hour. Not to mention between classes there is a 45 minute break, which is so nice if you have back to back classes. Okay but in all honesty, the homework load isn't bad at all if you know how to manage your time. Most weekends I do it wisely and have both work and play time. It is so easy to get to different places here in LA. The train to Hollywood, Santa Monica, Chinatown, and other places is only $1.75 ! It's a cheap and easy way to get out of the city without Uber. Weekends are so fun here in LA. I LOVE IT. If anyone is out there and you want to know more about the daily life of a FIDM student, don't be afraid to reach out or even leave a comment! Overall, I love FIDM as a whole. The more I learn the better I feel about going here. Not to mention I finally feel like I have a good support group of friends here.
